Dakang Holding Group has built seating in Anji, Zhejiang since 1992 — rocking chairs, office chairs and office furniture, on a 100,000 m² base with 700-plus people across the group.
We began in 1992 as a workshop in Anji, the county that became China’s chair-manufacturing cluster, with the whole supply chain for steel, foam, mesh, gas lifts and bases packed within a short drive. Growing up inside that ecosystem is the plain reason we can quote a retail price and still control quality: the parts a chair depends on are made next door, not shipped in.
Over three decades the business grew from one workshop into a holding group of seven companies spanning research, production and sales, recognised as a national high-tech enterprise with registered capital of about 101 million RMB. On site there is a 100,000 m² production base, a 3,000 m² chair museum and a 3,000 m² exhibition hall — Anji takes its chair-making seriously, and so do we.
Why big retailers stay on the list
A name like Walmart, Target or Argos does not place a repeat order on charm. They audit the factory, check the systems, and watch whether week 40 matches week 1. We are set up for that scrutiny: we run ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems, hold the China Famous Trademark, and keep rocking, office and leisure capacity separate so one programme never starves another. The boring consistency is the product.
Where we are honest about our limits
We build and test to BIFMA and EN seating standards and arrange third-party reports per order — but we do not stamp a blanket "certified" on a catalogue, because the right report depends on the model and your market. If your destination needs a specific mark, tell us early and we scope the testing into the programme rather than pretend it already exists.
